Plaster over paint

Have just fitted new conservatory and would like smooth finish on what was the exterior wall.
The wall in question is brick which has been painted. The wall and paintwork are both in good sound condition is it possible to plaster over this.

you can float it with carlite bonding then skim or dot and dab boards and skim.

i would dab boards on tape the joints and skim with multi finish.

Am Multi finishing plasterboard, do I need to treat boards with PVA first.
