Wonder if anyone can help out on this one. I'm repairing the sash windows of a property that is being refurbished by a couple to sell on and make lots of money ala Sarah Beeney. One of the jobs undertaken by Mr couple was fixing Aquapanel to existing stud work, trouble is its out of line and when the bath is positioned its running out from the corner by about 1 inch. They don't want to take the Aquapanel down and start again so the only thing I could think of to get the wall true was to plaster onto the Aquapanel, feathering in to get a nice straight wall. As I understand it you can plaster onto one side of Aquapanel but the side they would need to plaster onto would be the 'shiney' side for want of a better word.

Is this possible, or are there any other ways to help them out.

Many thanks, from joiner struggling to finish windows and trying to answer many questions from Mr and Mrs Couple :)

No, there aren't.

Tell them not to be so stupid and to take the panel off and put it back square and true.

don't plaster aquapanel.
Why?.....just been to a house where aquapanel`s been skimmed then tiled and half the plaster skim under the tiles will NOT come off...........maybe the other half fell off  householder has done this work not me ;)

i thought that the make up of such materials made them unsuitable for high water content, rigid finishes like gypsum plasters.

I have skimmed on to these concrete panels...but surely got to be better to take down a pack out to get it plumb...must be screwed on????

Thanks for your replies guys, seems to be no real agreement on this one. If it were my house I'd take it down and refit the panels, but the desicion as they say is up to them.

If they are insistent that they want it skimmed and not take the board off you can use Knauf Aquapanel Q4 skim coat to provide a finish surface to the board.

How it would stand up to feather out an inch I cannot comment!
