I saw this stuff in B&Q and was wondering what it's for? I need to do some internal rendering on a wall that was suffering from damp, should I use this stuff rather than building sand for the render mix?

fanks!

yup.

it is rinsed in such a way that the particles left behind by rinsing are larger and so lend themselves better to rendering.

basically it means you won't get shrinkage crazing. probably.

interesting, so i guess i can use outside aswell? also is it better for top coat or scratch or both?

you can use indoors or out. if you do use externally, don't forget waterproofer. adding hydrated lime helps too.
