Plastic Nuts!

Situation:

Power Shower pump with plastic screw outlet secured to copper pipe by plastic nut and olive. Leaking therefore I tightened nut. No, big mistake. This makes leak twice as bad. I think I've ended up distorting the outlet though it seems to look OK. Any suggestions??????????

Stop buying junk!

Fernox LS-X leak sealer.
A jubilee clip round the nut will stop it springing open while you do it up.

I think i'll end up with plastic nuts if the wife has to empty another bowl
