Please Help With My Wall?

Hi

I am renovating my kitchen, and so far I have removed a number of units and some tiling. The walls now look like this

Do you think I will be able to stick plasterboard directly onto this surface and them fix my new units and tile the exposed areas?

If so, what do i use to stick the boards to the walls

Use the dot and dab adhesive for dry-lining plasterboard, make goods to loose plaster etc.

Thanks for that, will I need to take the old plaster off as it is not a level surface at the moment? and will it hold with the weight of the tiles?

Providing the plaster are sound then should be okay and use a sealer as well. The only thing I'm concern about is the water pipe straight connector if it leak. I don't know how reliable they are but might be an idea to use copper pipe with solder fitting etc behind the plasterboard, just a thought.
