Hi I'm building a house in Bali and have bored a 50m well, my question is what type of pump will I need to provide water to second level for an up stairs shower, and can I use mains pressure mixers as I plan to use a gas water heater, not tank (my thinking is the pressure would be equal out of hot and cold taps)?

The usual method would be to have a submersible pump operating on a float switch to fill a loft ( roof ) storage tank.

If gravity flow from the loft tank is insufficient then a 1 Bar or 2 Bar shower pump would be used to boost the pressure for the shower. The pump would be double ended to pump the hot and cold water to the same pressure.

Thanks Tony, However I don't want to put a loft tank in as I have vaulted ceilings, so it would have to be external, and I don't like the look or the thought of building a 7m tower.
I have been given 4 mixer taps to use, but I see they require 0.5-0.6 kg/cm2 of pressure, will I be able to achieve this using a pump?
