i am wanting to move my washing machine from the kitchen to a spare room at the other side of the house. the room is directly next to the boiler room and i am wanting to plumb the supply from there. is there any way to tell which is the hot and cold supply, i dont want to make a mistake and feed from the central heating. any help is appreciated.

Look under the boiler, may be a diagram.

The pipes should be 15 mm BUT make sure you are 100% sure before you cut into the pipes as one will be the gas supply. :D
