Potterton Kingfisher RS50 Floor Boiler

Could any one help with a question on this boiler.
I switch the boiler on I hear it click into action nothing for a couple of seconds and then I get what I can only guess as a mini gas explosion inside chamber before ignition ( a large boom sound which vibrates the casing )
The pilot light does not seem as large as viewed in previous occasions, could this be the problem.
It does heat up the system of raidators ok and the water tank please help!!!

Nelson, sounds like it needs a service. Pilot burner probably blocked and burner pressure may need checking.
A full service should see it right again.
