Hi - I've had this boiler installed for nearly 3 years now, and have had no issue at all so far.

A week ago, the boiler didn't start either central heating or hot water - you can hear the 'tick' suggesting that it's about to light, but it doesn't (sometimes it keeps 'trying' repeatedly without success - the thing wouldn't light).

Then a couple of hours later you casually try to get some hot water, realise that it works, jump in the shower (making sure that you don't turn the tap off until the shower's on, otherwise you miss your opportunity and back to square 1) and then are out of hot water for the rest of the day...

There used to be a small leak from the '3-way valve assembly' (DHW side) 2 months ago - we placed a glass under it and it eventually stopped, leaving some scale behind it... Wonder if that could be related...

Power On light is on. I checked the pressure, pushed it up then back down in the green. All seems fine on that side. I try all the timer options to rule that one out too, working OK. Also called a Corgi engineer who didn't turn up :-)

Can anyone help at all, please?? Thanks!!

If it sometimes comes on there cannot be very much wrong with it.

Obviously I cannot tell you on the internet exactly what the problem is with yours but I suspect its probably just a commissioning/service issue probably associated with the gas valve and PCB settings.

Just because the CORGI did not turn up once it does not mean that he will not come another day or another will not come.

Sounds like a good place to start to me.
