Potterton Profile 40e

Potterton Profile 40e worked well for years, fitted new pump to the system and the boiler stopped after about an hour. Boiler will rum if the little overheat switch is pressed underneath. Have replaced main and overheat stat to no avail.

Getting cold, help !

1st thoughts are .what happened to make u change the pump . the over heat stat will trip if u havent got a good circulation through the boiler. will it allways run & get things hot before it trips off.

Trapped air resulting from pump change if you drained down could do it, but an hour would be a ong time. Is the pump on full speed, pump valves fully open?

Thanks for your input, have discovered the guy has fitted the pump upside down, nice and warm now !
