After I replaced a faulty radiator my powermax 155 boiler is not heating the water or the central heating, it seems to be making all the right noises except for that the burner is not igniting, all the radiators are full with water & there is water coming out of the hot water taps but no heat, has any one got any ideas???

the auto air vent may have failed, not letting all the air out of the boiler (presuming its a sealed system), this causes the float in the float chamber not to make, which stops power to the gas valve....this is to stop dry fireing...

or could be that float switch ids now stuck...

you can open your prv, to let the air out, but recomend you get a corgi in, as once you open this valve, it will not sit tight again, so will need replacing....

Thanks for your replys but the problem has solved itself, I gave it another try this afternoon and it's working fine (touch wood).
