Hello

I have been having some serious boiler trouble. This used to be intermitted..... now it is repeatable everytime. Was wondering can anyone shed some light on this..... There has to be a few beers due to the person that can help solve this!!!!

The situation..
Powermax boiler - switches on Fires no problem / After 30 to 40 seconds the electircity trips out - not all just the large trip switch and all the plugs go dead - lights stay on etc in the house.

Have had general service Corgi registered / replaced probe / Gas pressure switch / Water Pump - isolated the water from the Central Heating / drained and refilled / replaced circuit board..... the only thing left that I can think of that would create a surge is the fan........ but it seems fine.

I have had a spark check the wiring - but still nothing.

Has anyone experienced something similar - how was it cured.

Any ideas - please!!!!

Link out room stat and try. Come back if that fails because i have a devious plan.

Does it do this if no central heating is demanded? (just hot water)
What model is it?
I have no devious plan but I do know a couple of cunning stunts!

Whats tripping is your RCD...now all you have to find out is why!
It could be your pump....have you anyway of temporarily switching off the pump(isolating it)?...or better still...have you anyway of running your pump independantly of the boiler?
Marty.
