Preheat? On baxi

I've just fitted an external expansion vessel after my internal one slowly packed up.
Should I turn the preheat of completely or is it ok to still use?
It's on a baxi 105e instant.

if its installed on the return with in 1m of the boiler use it as normal

Can't see any reason why it would be a problem to continue using it, unless there's more information you're not yet given??
