well my combi boiler was condemed previously a vokera linea 24, and just started to get quotes, anyways got british gas out first and they quoted me 3k!!. cheapest 1.5k which is a whouster 24 like? spelling prob wrong lol.

The Linea 24 is a relatively modern boiler.
I cannot see any situation that would not be repairable!
Have you tried to get it repaired or do you accept the work of just one cowboy?
I AM SURE THAT I COULD SORT IT OUT FOR LESS THAT £500 AND PROBABLY FOR LESS THAN £250 !!!
