I have drained my CH system to replace a rad and valves but now I have one rad that will not heat up.
I believe that I drained the system correctly by shutting off the inlet water in the attic for the CH and drained the system by using a hose pipe from the down stairs rad (the one thats now not working) . Once the new rad and valves had been installed, I turned off the drain tap on the rad and turned back on the CH water supply in the attic, I then bled all the rads before and after turning on the CH system.

Please, any suggestions as I am a novice but my wife thinks I am a cowboy

Yes all the valves are turned on, I have even tried to modulate all the vavles

open the bleed valve of the cold rad.
does this release air or water or nothing ?

Shut down all the rads apart from the offending one & turn the pump on full.
