Hi all, hope you can help.
Please be patient as I have very little knowledge of such plumbing terminology, so I'll try and explain my problem as best I can.
To start with, the heating and the hot water generally seem to be working fine, there have been times when we've set the timer and the heating has not necessarily complied with the times set, and on one occasion stayed on for what seemed most of the day till we turned the timer off from programme.
The problem comes with the pressure gauge. Once we set it to be between 1 and 1.5, it rises when the heating is on, which I believe is what it's supposed to do, but within about four days to a week when the heating isn't on the gauge drops to well below the 1 mark ? To take it back up, now this is very un-technical, we open two valves to rise the pressure, can't be more precise than that unfortunately. That takes the pressure gauge up and we repeat the process at least once a week, is this normal ?
In the last few days we have also encountered some clunking noises (both when heating is on and off), what could these be coming from ? I realise it is difficult for anyone to resolve our problem with this limited information to go off, but any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
