We have ceramic taps, and pressure seems fine throughout the whole house apart from the kitchen tap downstairs, when you first turn on the tap the water flows fine for a brief second and then reduces to a very very slow flow, can anyone reccomend anything,

If its the hot, prob's an air lock. If cold, (it would be the main) it's probably a blockage. Sudden or gradual start to fault?

Yes it is the hot but the hot taps elsewhere all work fine, can you think of anything to get rid of this problem ??? thank you

First - I'm assuming you have a conventional tank-in loft system and not a combi?

If so you have to shove the hot back up the pipe withthe cold, which is higher pressure.
Try this bit it might not work:

push palm of your hand against the end of the tap. Turn hot on. No water should come out. Now turn cold on. You should still be able to hold it - the cold will go back up the hot. Hold it for as long as you can (!) like 30 seconds then turn cold off. Remove hand and see what difference there is in HW flow. It should be better (at least while the cold comes out!).

Otherwise, if you have H & C supplies to a washing machine, connect the taps together with one of the hoses, and turn both on - say for 20 secs. Then try the sink hot .

Did you have a H& C washing machine tap to try?

Only other way without doin plummin is to suck at the hot tap with a water-capable vac. The hot pipe is vented to atmosphere up in the loft though, so you can draw more air in - , but it can work if you mess about long enough.
