I have installed a Bristan thermostatic mixer valve (concealed), with an EasiBoost pump near the boiler.

All wired up and plumbed in correctly as we get pressure and hot and cold at the shower head.

The issue is that the shower sometimes pulses hot and cold, it seems to be an issue with the hot water at the pump.

If I turn the shower down, it goes cold and we lose the hot water.

Anybody got any ideas, pretty much any help appreciated.

What type of boiler do you have?

What is the cold water pressure at the shower valve?

Have you ensured that the cold and hot are balanced?

Those Easiboost pumps are the same as the NewTeam Varispeed ones. When you say the pump is installed by the boiler, do you mean the hotwater cylinder in the airing cupboard?? If the pump is installed correctly, like this.....

New cold water feed from cold water storage tank in loft to pump.
New hot water feed from surrey or essex flange in cylinder to pump.

Then the pump should be supplying equal enough pressures for your shower valve. In which case, the valve is probably at fault. Was the pipes flushed prior to final installation? Debris in the valve can cause problems.

Check that the pump has its own unique feed first, ie. not drawing off any other pipe. This is quite essential for good pump operation.
