Ok. Drained down the system changed a radiator upstairs.

Filled everything back up inhibitor everything works fine apart from the radiator downstairs where I drained off from its cold no flow.

Try bleading it top right of radiator nowhere or fine. Tried draining water flows freely, but then when I closed the drain still the radiator does not get hot.

What I did do on the drain off was changed out the valve spindle as it was leaking. I have a photo which says it’s too big for me to attach to here. The new shiny bit is what I changed. This does work for the drain off it could this be anything to do with the radiator not getting hot? I’m trying not to drain down the system again really if I can help it.

Has the valve gone bad although the spindle travels up and down okay?

Any help much appreciated thanks.

Take radiator off.
Open valves to see if water comes out.
Yeah. Could be valve.

Before that, if you have a thermostat valve on rad, remove trv and check pin isn't stuck in.
See YouTube for how to. Easy job.
It's that time of year where people will be putting heating on and getting trv pins stuck in closing radiators off.

Oh .
You don't need to drain system to take radiator off...
