Hi all, this is my first post so sorry if this has already been answered but....

Just had a new radiator fitted downstairs and it has been connected with plastic 10mm pipe T'd from 15 copper pipe. It doesn't heat up (well it does a tiny bit). Is it the pipe diameter that's the problem. All other rads in the house are fine.

Its a Myson premier HE 700x1200.

All help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

It was tested to 1 bar then all radiators were filled one at a time, whilst maintaining pressure, untill full. The boiler was turned on and the radiator in question would not heat until all others were turned off, then it got hot. I turned everything off for a couple of hours and put it back on with all rads turned on. Nothing from the newly fitted one, the rest are fine.

Cheers

try turning down the valves on the other rads....not the TRV (if you have them fitted) but the other smaller valves...just turn one side on each rad down a turn and re-check ur new rad.

if this does not do it, check balancing on this forum and do it properly, as long as there is no other problem it should get it working.
