Radiator tail extensions - leaking

Hi,

I have used telescopic radiator tail extensions on my bathroom rad. Seemed to work okay for about a year, but now that I've turned the heating on after the summer break I can't stop them leaking
I even tried replacing with a brand new extension piece and get the same problem!
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Can anyone explain how these miraculous devices work (or not)? Can the leaking be fixed?

they are a pain for leaking it works on a o ring seal which does not last
you wont be able to seal it , better to replace with rigid extension pieces which you will get at any good plumbers merchant, measure the length as they come in different lengths
