HI All
My questions is about the valve at the other end of the radiator to the thermostatic valve. Does it need to be screwed down or loose to allow water to pass please ,
Thanks

Your pic is of a thermostatic valve ,with the actuator head removed. As that is ,it's in the open position, assuming the pin is moving freely and that valve is not seized/ faulty.
What valve is on the other end of that pictured radiator ?

That radiator doesn't appear to be connected to any pipework ???

I just wanted to know if the first picture valve is in the open position as I didn't want to obstruct water flow through the radiator
thanks

Why is there a TRV fitted at both sides of the radiator? You need a lock shield valve at on end.

Seen a few 'Corner TRV's' lately. Look good don't they. The pipe is only visible when viewed from an angle, or if there's a pipe cover fitted.

Can't say I'd fancy installing one though, there's not much room for movement!
