Hi,

My mum's shower cubicle has a leak and the plumber who fitted it reckons that the water's coming through the tiling rather than from the plumbing.

Would regrouting and re-siliconing be enough to stop this, do you reckon? If so, is it best to hack out the old grout and sealant before reapplying?

Or should the whole thing be retiled?

All shower cubicle should be tanked, I'm afraid grout are only water resistance and not 100% waterproof  having said that the leak maybe where the sealant breakdown onto the tray.

If you're thinking of re-tiling have a look at shower wall panel for easy cleaning and no grout problem etc. I have a plastic white moulded panel kit for maintenance free :D
