Hi,

I can't find definitive advice online .. hope you can help.

I'm installing a new floor in toilet .. total thickness = 12mm. Board and Marmoleum/lino.

hallway is wooden floorboards.

door is 35 mm and opens out into hall.

I'd like to fit a wooden reducer threshold to transition the height. I can't find the exact one online but there's places that make custom .

I'm not sure if the threshold should just be the depth of the door, or protrude out either side .. or if the Lino should finish inline with the door jam or halfway under the door thickness.

hope these sketches help. any advice much appreciated.

this is the kind of thing:
