Hi

Anyone have any idea how to replace a concrete floor with (pine) floor boards ?

I have sanded, woodwashed, and stained the floorboards in my open plan lounge/hallway area. This looks great, but the floor under the stairs (which is now part of the same room as the walls were knocked down for the open plan thing) is actually concrete - rather than floorboards.

I'm also currently renovating the bathroom so will be able to use and replace some of these floorboards as these floorboards won't be seen.

How can I remove the concrete the required depth? How do I ensure that the surface is level to lay the floorboards into place?

Also, another possible issue is that the bathroom floorboards haven't been sanded and the lounge ones have. The lounge ones have been sanded at least 3 times. So, there could be a difference in height....

Aaargh! Help please anyone??

Thanks in advance.
