I stupidly took on 2 blokes who had shoved a leaflet through my door who were allegedly decorators. I agreed a price to sand down the window frames and soffits, apply undercoat and gloss. Also gave them some masonry paint for the render in the apex at the top of the house. Fortunately I arrived home early to prevent any further damage. They had spilled gloss paint on the porch roof, masonary paint on the brickwork underneath the render (he tried to clean this off with turps  ). The numbskull at the back of the house was busy applying gloss paint to flaking, unprepared, frames and was also painting the brickwork for good measure

After this debacle I'm left with the task of cleaning up. The bricks with the smudged masonary paint are a complete eyesore - I'm told that Nitromoors will get this off, but these bricks are 3 feet above the upstairs windows and I don't fancy using this stuff balanced on a ladder.

My questions are:

1. Will Nitromoors work?
2. What's the safest way to work at that height - would scaffolding be an option (cost obviously taken into account)
3. Does anyone know of a firm in the North east of England that would possibly do the work for me? I can't find any on t'internet :(

Would really need to see the the actual surface to be able to answer. A pic pos ?

Try a pressure washer first..fine jet, it might work

have you thought about a mechanical solution? I've just cleaned brickword well with a wire brush attachment that goes on your drill - it makes a lot of dust but gets good results...
