hi my van needs some welding on the sill near the back wheel.can you buy complete sills or do i get a patch welded over hole thanks peter

If it's only a small hole, you just get it patched. It needs to be welded continuously all the way round the patch.

it is the size of a tennis ball and right at the edge where wheel arch meets sill ,just in front of rear wheel.i thought it would be better to put on new sill if the make one.

Try your local motor factor, they'll be able to get you a new sill at a reasonable price. Have you asked a welder for an opinion?

Think you would find a patch to be much cheaper than paying for and having welded a full? cill, or are looks important? sounds like your van is getting on a bit anyway.
