Renovation Plaster

Good Afternoon

I'm modernising an old cottage and have removed the old plaster and it has been injected with chemicals around.

How should the wall now been finished:- does it require renovation plaster or should i go for a sand/cement mix

damp proof company "experts" recommend you should only plaster with sand /cement/ hydrated lime mix with moisture retardant ad-mixture.
