What's the best glue to stick these bits back on my trainers?

I think I used Fantastic Elastic from Poundland. Haven't seen it in there recently but available elsewhere.

Also look at Shoe Goo, or Aqua sure. I've used all of these on work boots and running shoes with excellent results.

Contact adhesive can be a bit inflexible.

If you are repairing other bits of the shoe then buy a few mini clamps to hold it all together.

Are they vulcanising things like old bicycle repair patch glue

shoo goo is solvent based and works well for troublesome shoe repairs/rebuiding of sole/profile etc.
