I have an old upvc door with leading externally and internally in the double glazed unit and I want to replace all this with a georgian bar window to match the rest of the windows in the house.

The problem is, the glass is fitted with a square section 'beading' with a rubber seal , and I don't know how this was fitted or, if I can remove it, if it can be refitted, assuming it can be removed with damaging it.

I've installed and replaced window glass using the more standard 'triangular' beading which snaps into place.

Is it possible these ones slide in horizontally and vertically?

Anyone have any information/insights on this ?

thanks

Charlie

Looks like the black gasket is a wedge gasket , so try and remove that , if it comes out then the beading will probably be very loose to just unclip
