replacing a digistat rf1 with digistat rf2

went to turn on the heating and display on the thermostat is impossible to read... tried new batteries but the same.... it appears hard to buy a new digistat rf1 thermostat and was going to replace it with a rf2.... question is will it be easy to install the receiver on the 230v connection by the boiler ,,,, rf2 has got good reviews about easy to use so I think I will go for that one
 
yes the RF2 is a straight swap for the RF1, you dont need a new receiver the old one should work, but if you have bought one anyway , the new one just clips on the origional back plate as the existing, no wiring required
