I am replacing two bay windows, one downstairs, one up. The width of each is 2m. The house is 1920s brick-built.

Will there be anything in the bay that is supporting the bricks above? Is there anyway I can find out? Does this pose a problem with replacing the windows?

The bay windows will more than likely have posts in the corners that support a lintel above/the windows themself. Normally new bay windows come with corner posts for support..
