Replacing hotpoint tumble dryer drum belt

Hotpoint - Reversomatic plus, tumble dryer, Mod No 9320w
Hi, can any one help me on how to replace a broken drum drive belt on the above. I have started to strip the cabinet down but it appears as though I have to do a complete strip down to replace the belt. Surely thre is an easier way of doing this any help especially with pictures would be great.

We used to loosen the front and slip it over the drum, remebering to put the drum back on the plastic bearings, then tension the belt with the jokey wheels.

question is though why did it snap? does the motor still run?
