We tried to reset the user code after moving into our new house.
We download instructions and followed them, - Press 6- press enter - enter existing code - enter new code. but the alarm went off for what seemed like an age. By fluke I pressed the number 6 and it went off, but now a tamper light has appeared and we dare not touch any button again.

The company Ameco who fitted it have gone bust.
Does anyone know how to reset the tamper light or any ideas on how to fix the user code????

Thanks in advance
From a frustrated

you misread the instructions

read them again.

its old number twice then new number

(the old number will clear your tamper)

Found the installation manual for this system, this is what it says:

Set/Unset System User code

Omit zone/Part Set User code + 2 + Omit and/or 3 + Omit

Test Bells 4 + ENTER + User code
The system activates the internal sounder for three
seconds, followed by the external sounder for three
seconds.

Walk Test 5 + ENTER + User code
Key in User code to end test

Change User code 6 + ENTER + current user code + new user code + ENTER

Hope this is helpful

Good luck with it, maybe if it doesnt work its time to upgrade the panel.

Thanks for the information.

In the manual does it give you a factory default user code to be able to reset the system???

you will need the engineers manual, because if you default it it will know nothing

google for the engineers manual. i found it earlier ;)

Just google for scantronic 9450, it'll be the first couple of links.

Thanks for all your help. We got it sorted by downloading the installation guide and following instruction to reset the alarm.

Cheers again
