Hello,

I'd like some advice on revivng some brickwork please.

Compared to all my neighbours in the street - the red brickwork on my house seems shabby & dirty.

My guess is that it's deisel fumes over the years .....

I want to retain the natural brick - so painting is out of the question.

Any advice on cleaning appreciated - I've tried soapy water and a stiff scrubbing brush over a small area - but did'nt seem to make much of an impact - do I just need to percivere and continue like this?

thanks

You can get acid brick cleaners that you spray on and the grundge sort of rolls off like magic.. google brick cleaners. I ve used it a few years ago and its supriseingly effective (tho a bit harsh on skin/hair!)

sidecar jon, you should only use shampoo or soap on your skin and hair, acid will only turn your hair green.
