ROOM THERMOSTAT NOT WORKING PROPERLY

Just had a new boiler fitted and a new Honeywell room thermostat fitted too.However the heating turns off when reaching the programmed heat but will not turn on again when temp drops.....only comes on if temp is increased . each time having to turn it higher to get heat...temp now at 28 to start up!!!!
Any ideas ????

Could be a faulty stat, or perhaps it has a compensator and has been incorrectly wired, i.e. lack of neutral.

or more likely compensator connected to the live side thus always heating the stat.


The two live wires may need swapping
