Hi Guys,

My new heating system is complete, except the gas.

I had the Gas man round today. THe gas meter is in an ols separate cupboard below the electricity meter. He suggested running the 22 mm pipe up from the meter through the electricity meter cupboard...(to which I was surprised) the around the back of the house below the window sills (about 4 foot from ground level)

Is it OK to have the pipe through the cupboard willl the electricity meter?

Gas pipes should be a minimum of 150mm from electric meters and associated fuse boxes and 25mm away from electrical supply and distrubution cables, Where these requirments are impractical suitable electrically insulating material should be wrapped around the pipe or placed between it and the electrical equipment.
