I know I don't use mine as much as I should - sometimes not for months on end. I guess I'm being lazy not bothering to learn all its uses.

How much do you use yours and what do you use it for?

Also, what type is it and what is its power rating?

Hitachi M12V. It's main function is to occupy the shelf space allocated to it, unless I put it in the wrong place.

Probably just as well you don't use it much, unless you are up to date with long term effects of wood dust (or worse, MDF)

I doubt either is worse for a given quantity, just that mdf doesn't seem to form chips and shavings as easily as wood so it goes to loads more dust.

Hi Joe, I'm a router anorak and use mine for all manner of jobs from decorative edging to edge planing, jointing, rebating etc. I use a Bosch 1400ACE for most hand held jobs and also have a Bosch 2000CE for table use and heavier hand-held work such as worktops. Draper expert 1/4" Its a rebadged Trend T5.
Use it for grooving, edge moulding, decoratrive patterns, letering.

Hitachi M12V
Use that one for edge moulding on larger cutters or long runs, template trimming and such.

Got adaptors to put both in a table, depend which im using handheld the least at the time as to which i put in the table when its needed.
