screaming kitchen cold water tap

Every time I use my cold water tap it screams at me it is very loud. Does anyone have any Ideas, I would really appreciate it. Also to let you know the tap is single not a mixer.

sounds like either the pressure is too high (unlikely) or a new washer is needed

thanks I will try and change the washer on the tap and hopefully it will solve the problem.
