We have a semi detached cottage dating from approx 1850. The water supply is shared, as it comes in through the neighbours house. No problems, but when they run their water, our pressure drops, and our electric shower suddenly goes red -hot.

Is it possible for a plumber to re-route the supply, so it doesn't go through their house, or isn't affected by them using it Is this possible, or is it an absolute non starter. we get on well, so the work is probably not a problem, assuming it can be done.

Any advice is welcome, before I start discussing it with a plumber.

You need to speaking to your water supplier about your own dedicated supply.

Won't be cheap though. :(
