Mrs Symptoms has mentioned a tingling sensation when using her battery powered 'health aid' in the bath

I would suggest that you you should vigourously test it for her until you both come to a satisfactory conclusion.

She always insists on Duracell batteries 'cos the TV ads say they last longer

Does it effect the fingers or the wrist? As could be possible, Mrs Symptoms is suffering from hand-arm vibration syndrome.

Tell her not to touch the taps with her feet when using this device as she is completing the circuit.

Hmm, methinks this one needs a video so that we can make an informed response in giving advice :D
