We have recently had a new shower room installed. It is a fixed height shower, which I am unable to comfortably reach to adjust. Cananyone tell me if there is a standard height normally used for fixed showers?

Is your showerhead attached to a riser rail?

You should be able to lower the rail to a preferred height.

If it is a fixed shower rose, you will need to do some plumbing to drop it. :D

Thanks, but I am trying to establish if the company that fitted it should have worked to some standard guidelines for height. :)

Well G.J. Blower (Plumbing Master) in his Book Two states the fixed type shower should be fitted, unless otherwise specified, so that the rose is a minimum height of 2m from the floor of the shower tray.

Does this help, at all?
