i have a 2 year old 9.8 mira sport shower.. there is power to the switch but when you press the start button on the shower the ceiling switch light goes out . Any ides tahnks

Sounds like a high resistance neutral. Look for a burnt or charred looking terminal in the shower, switch, or consumer unit.

This was likely caused by a loose connection or cheap shower switch.

checked all these things and everything is sound. Could it be a fault with the mcd?

Would not have thought so.

This really does sound like the typical high res.

I would change the switch as the first item.
