Shower spray head dismantle

I want to dismantle the head and clean it but its proving difficult.

There's no centre cap with hidden screw and turning the spray nozzle clockwise/anticlockwise does will not release it.

Any suggestions welcome!

They are usually clicked shut. boil up some water in a pot and stick the head in, then use a nail brush to clean. Should be fine @ that. Unless it's limescaled, then add some limescale cleaner in too.
