Shower with combi? Mixer or electric?

Hi, with a combi boiler, is there a recommended type of shower (as in mixer or electric) or doesn't it matter? Thanks

There are mixer showers specifically designed for combis. You certainly don't need an electric shower.

that is what you have to weigh up, the combi mixer shower will be a far superior flow rate to an electric shower but the plus point of an electric shower is that it will still work if your combi boiler develops a fault so you still have a means of washing

Personally, I would much rather have the combi fed shower every day, with the realisation that when the combi breaks down I will have to do without for a day or two. No big deal.

I wouldn't have electric, as they are more expensive to run and the flow is usually pathetic compared to a combi-fed mixer.

A thermostatic bar mixer is a good option -

Or for something that will cost more but will last longer -
