Hi all!
Hot water difficult to regulate when both cw and hw taps are opened in the kitchen ( mixer tap). Hw runs on indirect system ( hw comes out of hw cylinder). I suspect mains cold water is pushing hot water back when both opened. Is it ok to fix a sc/valve under the kitchen sink in the hw pipe to prevent that happening? Thanks 4 your advice.

it is a Water Regulations requirement (law) that mixer taps with different pressures (ie mains cold and hot water from a cistern) - that mix water IN THE BODY, to have single check valves installed on BOTH the hot and cold pipes. this will stop your problem though and satisfy the Regs!
