The solenoid that opens the soap dispenser/rise aid valve on my smeg dishwasher has blown. As a spare you have to buy a whole soap/ rise aid dispenser for £50 which seems a waste. The solenoid looks the same as ones on solenoid fill valves except the central hole is slightly bigger at about 8mm for the plunger to fit in any ideas where I could just get the appropriate solenoid?

Local tip if they take old machines..... Or if you have one of these shops that sell recon machines, they either have a source for the parts or use several old machines to make one good one, so may have old parts or can probably advise on an alternative part.
