smelly shower drain

Can anybody help.
If my shower hasnt been used for a few days I sometimes get an unpleasant smell (akin to rotting food). Ive tried bleach, liquid drain unblockers etc which dont really work. The water flows down ok but
not sure if water should drain faster.

Your trap is losing its water seal allowing smells to come into your shower room.
Change the trap for an anti vac one and check fall on your waste pipe. You need to find out why it is losing seal, could be that the waste is shared with the bath etc
