spanish wiring??!!

o.k. guys. i've got a british kettle with standard 3 wires. socket is the type with only 2 holes. bought replacement 2-pin plug but don't know what to do with the earth wire? should i even be attempting this?

any ideas? thanks.

I would've thought if you have a british kettle they come with a british standard 3 pin plug then buy adapter for 3-pin to 2-pin type.They have loads of them in spanish supermarket or you could invite me over and I show you.

thought of that but i've got a switch on either side of the socket so adapter will not fit in!!!
