Th upper end of politics might but other reasons have been given - relationships and Trump willing.
Starmer has a very heavy schedule talking to a number of people at the UN meeting,. In fact he has been out and about in several countries. Grey is back with him.
He has already spoken to Biden.
Perhaps Two Tier has learnt a lesson from The Tories. The Tory leaders slagged off Trump before he was elected, then had to rebuild bridges with him when he caught them out by actually becomming president.
In fairness to most world leaders, none expected him to be quite such a pathetic, fragile ego - manbaby, that he turned out to be.

It's a shame Starmer wasn't interested in meeting Elon Musk, who could bring investment and jobs to the UK. They have excluded him from their invitation list. Meanwhile Musk is welcome at all of our European neighbours top tables.
Must be part of the Labour plan to divert investment away from UK.
Sounds like they might be waking up as to why driving nom doms out of the country isn't such a great idea. It won't stop them.

The normal lefties will be along shortly to say good riddance or the threat of leaving is just a threat.
If they bugger about with CGT too much, I will have to bugger off for a year again to "clean" my assets or bed and breakfast everything before the rules change.
I thought the Tories were good at screwing up a massive majority, but so far Starmer is proving he's even better at it.
